John Zaffarano

John’s passion for selling residential real estate began almost immediately after moving to Los Angeles in the late 1980’s. While pursuing his career in entertainment marketing, he would avidly spend weekends exploring LA’s neighborhoods and perusing open houses, imagining how homes could be improved to increase their market value. After attaining his real estate license in 2006, John became entranced with Palm Springs and the greater California desert area. He began investing in, renovating, and selling architecturally significant homes, consistently achieving the highest per-square-foot values at the time.

After a successful 30-year career as an award-winning entertainment marketing executive at Twentieth Century Fox, Amazon Prime Video, and multiple Hollywood creative advertising agencies, John joined RARE Properties, combining his talent as a ‘connector’ with his longtime passion of selling residential real estate. Propelled by the successful foothold the RARE Properties team had already developed in the desert area, John serves as Principal of RARE Properties Palm Springs, and as Estates Director at RARE Properties Beverly Hills. From the desert to the sea, John's clients can leverage his vast network of contacts, marketing expertise, and customer-centric approach to sell their homes or enlist his knowledge to find their first homes, vacation getaways or dream homes.
