Jordan McWherter

Jordan McWherter lives on the Coastside with his wife and three children and has spent his
entire life connected to this community. A second-generation Coastside local born and
raised in Pacifica—yet experienced well beyond it—he brings over 25 years of building,
development, and real estate investment experience to Compass.

A licensed California General Contractor, Jordan has built more than 30 homes from the
ground up and has personally bought, developed, renovated, and sold dozens of his own
investment properties. He also remains active in residential development today, designing
and building select spec homes and land projects throughout the Bay Area. For nearly a
decade, he completed high-value work in the Palo Alto market, collaborating with many of
the top-producing agents in the nation. That experience gave him a firsthand education in
elite-level negotiation, market strategy, and client service—insight that now directly
benefits the clients he represents.

Having been both a buyer and a seller many times over, Jordan understands the emotions,
timing, strategy, and pressure that come with major real estate decisions. His background
includes land acquisition, permitting, subdivision work, design, and value-focused
development—giving him a practical, inside-out understanding of the product at the center
of real estate: The Home. He knows what creates value, what hurts it, and what truly
matters when evaluating property across the Bay Area.

At the core of Jordan’s approach is a simple truth: real estate is about understanding the
product. And he knows homes, land, and value at a level few agents can match. But he also
believes real estate is about people—trust, communication, and genuinely understanding a
client’s needs. Jordan’s strength is blending deep construction expertise with real
relationships, giving his clients the best of both worlds: practical insight and a personalized,
grounded experience.

Outside of work, Jordan is a lifelong outdoorsman who splits his time between the Coastside
and the Sierra Nevada high alpine. He spends as much time as possible exploring
California’s coastline, mountains, and backcountry with his three homeschool children. For
Jordan, real estate isn’t just a career—it’s a connection to the places, people, and landscapes
that have shaped his entire life.
