Jordan McWherter

Jordan McWherter is a licensed California General Contractor, developer, and Compass real estate agent with over 25 years of hands-on experience evaluating, building, and investing in Bay Area residential real estate.

Since 2012, he has been an active builder and investor in the Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Menlo Park markets — putting his own capital on the line rather than advising from the sidelines. Jordan has built more than 30 homes from the ground up and has personally acquired, developed, and sold dozens of properties.

This real-world builder-developer experience gives him a rare, practical perspective on every transaction. He understands current construction costs, where real value is created, which risks are often uncovered during due diligence, and what separates a well-built home from one that simply presents well. The result is a more grounded and informed approach to pricing, positioning, negotiation, and evaluation.

A third-generation Bay Area native, Jordan lives with his wife and three children. When he’s not working, he spends his time surfing the California coast and exploring the Sierra Nevada range.
