Joy Castillo

Born in New York City, Joy grew up in Northern California and has called the Denver Metro Area home since 1999. She lives in Broomfield and enjoys relaxing and traveling with her husband and three daughters, cooking for and entertaining friends, and walking and hiking with her two dogs. She never tires of the view of the Rocky Mountains from her home, which turned out to be a decent trade for the oceans and rivers of her youth. Joy studied Comparative Literature at the University of California at Berkeley, and stays connected to her Cal family by being an active member of her alumni club, the Rocky Mountain Golden Bears. An avid reader, music lover and basketball fan, you're as likely to find Joy passionately discussing literature as you are to find her dancing, singing karaoke or cheering at a basketball game.
