"I cannot recommend Juli Schmidt of Compass highly enough. She helped me sell my father’s home in Minnesota while I was living in California, during an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family. From beginning to end, she was so much more than a realtor—she was an exceptional project manager, trusted advisor, and genuinely caring person. She coordinated every aspect of preparing the house for sale. She obtained and evaluated bids from multiple estate sale companies, coordinated the estate sale, lawn care, garbage service, house cleanout, staging, and all the countless details involved in getting a longtime family home ready to list. She kept an organized punch list, stayed on top of every detail, answered what felt like hundreds of questions, and made sure I always knew what was happening and what needed to happen next. There were never unpleasant surprises, and I never once felt that things weren’t completely under control. When the title company made mistakes, she stayed on top of the situation until everything was resolved. Her attention to detail, follow-through, organization, and project management skills were truly remarkable—especially because I was managing all of this from across the country. She dealt with the home owners insurance for repairs ,inspections, and other service providers like plumbers and handymen. She advised us as to how to evaluate offers that came in. But what meant the most to me was the way she treated me and my father’s home. She understood that this wasn’t simply a real estate transaction. It was my father’s home, filled with memories, and she was incredibly empathetic, respectful, patient, and kind throughout the entire process. She listened. She never made me feel rushed or foolish for asking questions, and no matter how much was going on, she always made me feel that she had time for me. Because she handled so much so capably, I was able to focus my attention where it truly needed to be: helping my dad move from Minnesota to California and being with him through the final stages of his illness before he passed away. I will always be grateful that I didn’t have to worry about whether things were being taken care of back in Minnesota. I knew they were. She is exceptionally organized and competent, but she is also simply a lovely human being—warm, empathetic, thoughtful, and wonderful to work with. She made one of the most difficult periods of my life immeasurably easier. I am enormously grateful to her, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a realtor.
