About Julia
The Julia Hoagland Team advises clients and negotiates on their behalf to maximize value for Manhattan luxury residential real estate. For over a decade, JHT has ranked nationally in the RealTrends top 1%, including in 2020, 2021, and 2022. JHT is approaching $1B in historical sales volume. The problem-solving skills and attention to detail Julia developed during her electrical engineering studies, and subsequently in structured credit underwriting at two leading Wall Street firms led her to formulate the JHT core principle: comprehensive market analysis leads to competitive advantage.

As a Department of State Continuing Education instructor, Julia teaches Fundamentals of Real Estate Valuation at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Julia holds the prestigious Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) designation, serves on the Advisory Board of the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance (CIGREF) at NYU, is an active member of the Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate international affiliation, holds a chapter seat in the Women President’s Organization, and regularly participates as an expert panelist on national real estate sessions held by Wolfe Research. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, as well as one of 400 REBNY certified New York Residential Specialists (NYRS), which comprises less than 5% of all licensed residential professionals in New York City; for five years she served on the NYRS Executive Committee. Julia is also a REBNY-accredited Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), and a member of New York Residential Agents Continium (NYRAC).

A graduate of the NYU Stern School of Business and the Colorado School of Mines, Julia is as driven in her personal life as she is in her professional life. She has completed seven marathons and climbed Mt. Rainier in Washington, Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, and Mt. Fuji in Japan. Julia has traveled to over 40 countries, building an international network of social and business contacts that create unique and beneficial connections for JHT clientele. Julia is proud to serve as Chair on the board of Babies and Mothers Alive, a nonprofit dedicated to improving maternal and newborn health in Uganda, and for the past 15 years has sat on her Manhattan co-op board.
