"We would have been lost without Julia. She made moving across the country and navigating the New York real estate market feel like a breeze and we would recommend her without hesitation. She asked detailed questions to make sure she knew what we were looking for and when we couldn't make a showing, Julia went for us and sent back videos so good we felt like we'd been in the room. She's also a genuine delight to spend time with. If you're thinking about moving, trust us, you need Julia on your team. "

"I had such a great experience working with Julia. She was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and went out of her way to make everything as smooth and stress-free as possible. Julia is highly knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. I always felt informed and well taken care of every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend Julia to anyone looking for a real estate agent and wouldn't hesitate to work with her again. Thank you so much for all of your help, Julia!"

A native New Yorker with more than a decade of experience in residential sales, leasing, and new development, Julia Nimchuk brings a strategic, highly personal approach to New York City real estate.
Julia built extensive experience in luxury new development in-house at one of New York's premier developers, including selling and leasing some of Manhattan’s most prominent residential projects. Her background spans sales, leasing, pricing strategy, market research, marketing, and client advisory, giving her a particularly nuanced understanding of how to position properties and navigate complex transactions.
Today, Julia leads The Jing Chen Team at Compass, where she works with buyers, sellers, investors, and landlords across Manhattan and Brooklyn while also overseeing the team’s operations, marketing, and growth. She is especially focused on helping clients make sense of a market that can often feel opaque. Julia excels at translating data, neighborhood dynamics, and property-specific considerations into clear, actionable advice.
Her approach is thoughtful, analytical, and relationship-driven. Julia believes the best real estate advisors do more than facilitate a transaction: they understand the larger decision behind it, communicate candidly, and remain a trusted resource long after closing.
Julia also writes a newsletter, The Turnstile: a neighborhood-focused newsletter exploring New York through its streets, businesses, and local character.
