Kai is thrilled to now merge his business with his long-time colleague Sarah Ambrose. Together they have formed the Chicago Nest team. They have over 25 years of combined experience in the Chicagoland real estate market across all aspects of transactions ranging from first time buyers to multi-million dollar custom homes. Kai and Sarah have assisted buyers and sellers in a large variety of Chicago neighborhoods. Rental transactions also play a big part in their business and their familiarity with all the facets of the rental market in Chicago has helped them represent countless tenants and landlords.
Before moving to Chicago in 2003, Kai lived in Germany, Singapore, and then England where he met his wife Amanda while studying International Business at Regent College in London. Amanda comes from an old Chicago family, and he felt that Chicago would be the ideal place to be married and raise their family. The Schirmacher family lives on the border of North Center and Lincoln Square on Chicagoās north side. They are blessed with two great kids who are growing up too quickly. He enjoys volunteering at their school, the Latin School of Chicago. They enjoy exploring various neighborhoods with their 1 year old Bernedoodle Louie. Kai also likes discovering new restaurants in the city and competitive sailing on Lake Michigan.
