Kara Pittman

As a native North Carolinian, Kara began her career in real estate while finishing her senior year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Shortly thereafter, in 1999, realizing her affection for the area and her drive to help people with their real estate needs, she became co-owner of Terra Nova Global Properties, a client focused real estate firm. She’s been loving it ever since. 

After initially selling new construction in Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Durham, Kara wanted to know more about what she was selling. She obtained her NC Contractors license. Years later, she’s built several houses for herself and a handful for others. This has given Kara an educated and practical perspective on home ownership.  She’s familiar with moving and understands not only the emotional aspects of looking for a place to call your own, but she’s got the process down and her goal is to make your transition a smooth one.

Kara’s desire is to help her clients, whether Buyers or Sellers, to be successful in attaining their own real estate goals. Her priority is to provide an exceptional level of service. She finds great joy in sharing her expertise, experience and the dynamics of the area with others. She thrives on the meaningful relationships she develops with her clients. She’s consistently improving her skills, so that she can better serve her clients, from first-time homebuyers to the investor needing to tackle tax-free exchanges. She’s grateful for the many referrals over the years and wishes to thank all of those who have contributed to her success in her real estate career. In her spare time, Kara loves exploring new restaurants in the area and then trying to replicate some of those tasty dishes! She’s also an avid hiker in the area, ask her for some of the best local hiking trails.
