Karen’s immediate family has been designing and building custom homes on the North Shore of Boston since the 1940s. The foundation of Karen’s career as a professional Realtor® is built on the range of expertise, professional insight, and work ethic gained through a multi-generational culture of home builders, land developers, and old-world craftsman. Along with a core understanding of the real estate industry, home construction, interior design, engineering & siting, and real estate title/ legal research developed organically. She enjoys a collaborative relationship with contractors, attorneys, lenders, realtors, and tradespeople. Karen is gratified to be able to translate her skillset and network for the benefit of her clients. Lexington has been the hub of her practice since 1994, where she has successfully negotiated the sale of homes, land, and commercial property in 42 communities in Eastern Massachusetts.

A native New Englander, Karen lived in several Boston neighborhoods after studying economics at Syracuse University. She has since lived in North Reading, Andover, Winchester, Marblehead, and southern New Hampshire. Karen understands that your home sale or purchase is not only an important business decision for your family, it is a complex and personal experience. Like any great journey, the transition of one’s home is a marathon, not a sprint, and the trademark of the great leaders in the field are those with the experience to successfully navigate the process, and avoid the perils. Karen relentlessly acts as a tireless advocate, negotiator and trusted advisor for her clients, and she demonstrates her commitment every step of the way. Karen balances her energies spending time with her extensive family, attending high school and collegiate athletics, exploring some of the more off the beaten path communities and natural settings of this beautiful area of the world, and enjoying a family lake in Vermont. She gravitates to the ocean and the mountain ranges of New England for summer and winter adventures and escapades.

Karen is thrilled with the most recent evolution of her career – an affiliation with the Janovitz Tse Team – the #1 Real Estate Team in Lexington for many years – allowing her to synchronize her personal and professional interest in modernism.
