Karen Colella

Karen’s passion for real estate is rooted in a deep appreciation for architecture and interior design which was fostered by living in London and Milan for over a decade. While living in Milan, Karen’s fascination with the city’s rich history of fashion, art, and design, led her to study and gain mentorship alongside seasoned artisans and antiquarians. In London, Karen formalized her passion for design by attending The KLC School of Interior Design, graduating with honors and subsequently studying Antique Furniture and Decorative Arts at world-renowned Christie’s Auction House, London.

Karen’s guiding principles in building her real estate practice include striving to bring passion and honesty, pragmatism, and an eye for form and functionality to each and every client. As a former e-commerce entrepreneur and small business owner, she understands the importance of impeccable customer service and the art of negotiation. For several years she has worked alongside a Hamptons-based real estate developer consulting on commercial and luxury residential development and design projects. Karen specializes in seamlessly transitioning families from a city to a suburban lifestyle, relocating and repatriating families from abroad, first-time home buyers, downsizers, as well as luxury, rental, and investment properties. Her energy, creativity, attention to detail, expertise, and market knowledge allow her to deliver a unique, seamless, and refreshing approach to real estate.

Karen and her husband have owned and rented properties in the most competitive real estate markets in the world including Milan, London, Manhattan, Greenwich, and the Hamptons. She has children who have thrived in both the highly sought-after public and private schools in Manhattan and Greenwich. Karen’s twin boys currently attend Brunswick School and are immersed in Greenwich town and club sports leagues such as the GYFL, Greenwich Youth Football League, and GYL, Greenwich Youth Lacrosse. Karen has served on the Parent Board of Directors of both The International Preschools, Manhattan, Stanwich School, Greenwich, CT, and currently serves on the Brunswick School Parents' Association. In 2022, Karen was appointed to the Board of Directors of Breast Cancer Alliance and currently serves as President.  In 2015 she had the honor of being selected as the featured Survivor Speaker for Swim Across America, Making Waves to Fight Cancer and in 2016 she was featured in the Breast Cancer Alliance’s Annual Survivor Luncheon and Benefit.
