In 2023, Karen moved to San Diego from San Francisco without knowing a single person here, and fell completely in love with the city almost immediately. That experience shapes how she works with clients today. Karen believes buying a home should feel exciting and informed, not overwhelming, so she focuses on helping clients understand both the home buying process and the city itself, not just the listings, so they can feel as confident and excited about their decision as she felt about her own move.
As a member of The Selby Team at Compass, Karen's clients benefit from the support of an experienced, top-producing team with deep knowledge of San Diego County's neighborhoods, market trends, and transaction management from initial consultation through closing.
Before real estate, Karen spent nearly a decade in tech startups, from running internal operations as a startup's Chief of Staff to closing multimillion-dollar deals and building partnerships that drove serious revenue growth. That background in negotiation and relationship-building translates directly to representing clients through every step of a transaction.
Outside of real estate, Karen is a lifelong learner with no shortage of hobbies, including freediving, tennis, beach volleyball, and salsa dancing. Her interest in San Diego homes actually started with photography, wandering through different neighborhoods taking pictures of houses she loved, which turned into a genuine fascination with the homes and lifestyle here.
