"I really can't say enough good things about Karen. She is dependable trustworthy and one of the most considerate people I've met. Her thoughtfulness and attention to each part of the process helped simplify and ease selling my house and my move to Georgia. She always answered all of my questions thoroughly and skillfully and was quick to address any concerns as well as the minor hiccups that occurred during the process of getting my house ready to sell and listing it. I highly recommend her to anyone planning to sell a house in the Charlotte area."

"Karen and I connected through a referral. She immediately proved organized detail-oriented and proactive in her planning communication and overall approach to our search. She asked questions designed to help us prioritize what truly mattered in my next home and then demonstrated that she was listening to the answers by ensuring we visited relevant properties. In the end Karen rescued the home I purchased (and love) from a pile of listings I had discarded because she knew what I wanted better than I did.During a search that could at times frustrate me due to market conditions well beyond any buyer's control Karen kept an unfailingly positive attitude and provided reassurance that we would find the right home and deal for me. She is kind courteous thoughtful and an overall wonderful person which makes working with her a pleasure. Given that I was relocating to Charlotte her willingness to share the local knowledge she has gained as a local resident for some 40 years proved invaluable as well.In short I highly recommend working with Karen to anyone. I have already referred her to friends and look forward to doing so again often."

Real estate became a second career for me by happenstance. In 2015, I enlisted the trusted help of another Cottingham Chalk agent to sell a family memberās home in Indian Land, SC. It was a complicated move and along the way as I was packing the house and readying it for market, we discovered that some of my natural strengths ā organization, adaptability and attention to detail ā would work well in residential real estate. She needed an assistant and I was on board.
After earning my license the following spring, I spent the next five years working and learning the business from the best agents at Cottingham Chalk before deciding to take that experience and start building my own business in 2021.
Prior to real estate, I worked for almost 15 years in Corporate Communications/Investor Relations, marketing and project management roles at a regional brokerage firm, Interstate/Johnson Lane, then at First Union (predecessor of Wells Fargo). At that time, I held my Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. I then spent some years at home raising my children and as an active volunteer.
I love matchmaking clients with houses and neighborhoods that will best suit their needs as well as fit their budgets. It is my privilege to work with all types of clients in the various stages of life, but I particularly enjoy working with seniors and their families, showing off Charlotte to newcomers and helping clients prepare to list their homes.
It is very fulfilling for me to connect with people and help ease the stress that moving can bring. With a commitment to a high standard of service, I strive to use my creativity, honesty and problem-solving skills ā along with strong vendor connections ā to streamline the process and deliver desirable results for every client.
