Real estate became a second career for me by happenstance. In 2015, I enlisted the trusted help of another Cottingham Chalk agent to sell a family member’s home in Indian Land, SC. It was a complicated move and along the way as I was packing the house and readying it for market, we discovered that some of my natural strengths – organization, adaptability and attention to detail – would work well in residential real estate. She needed an assistant and I was on board.
After earning my license the following spring, I spent the next five years working and learning the business from the best agents at Cottingham Chalk before deciding to take that experience and start building my own business in 2021.
Prior to real estate, I worked for almost 15 years in Corporate Communications/Investor Relations, marketing and project management roles at a regional brokerage firm, Interstate/Johnson Lane, then at First Union (predecessor of Wells Fargo). At that time, I held my Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. I then spent some years at home raising my children and as an active volunteer.
I love matchmaking clients with houses and neighborhoods that will best suit their needs as well as fit their budgets. It is my privilege to work with all types of clients in the various stages of life, but I particularly enjoy working with seniors and their families, showing off Charlotte to newcomers and helping clients prepare to list their homes.
It is very fulfilling for me to connect with people and help ease the stress that moving can bring. With a commitment to a high standard of service, I strive to use my creativity, honesty and problem-solving skills – along with strong vendor connections – to streamline the process and deliver desirable results for every client.
