"I cannot recommend Simon enough. As a first time homebuyer, I was both excited and daunted at the prospect of purchasing a home in DC. I have several friends who had negative experiences with other Agents: they felt rushed or pressured to put in offers, their Agents didn’t take the time to thoroughly explain the home buying process, or their Agents were nowhere to be found when they needed them the most. You will have absolutely none of these issues with Simon. Our very first meeting was over three hours long, and he took his time getting to know my fiancé and I, learned what we were looking for, and educated us on the super competitive DC market. There are no stupid questions with Simon; he answers each and every one, and if he doesn’t know the answer, he finds it out for you. Simon took us to several (very different!) properties, and was quick to call out the pros and cons of each based on our needs and the conditions of the homes. He inspects every corner of a home during a showing, explaining different construction materials and looking for potential issues along the way. His expertise was very reassuring, and helped give us a realistic idea of what we would be up against on several fixer-upper properties. In the end, I put an offer in on a house that was priced very low, and we knew it would trigger escalation clauses. Even though I didn’t have the largest down payment, because of Simon, we were able to position ourselves competitively and the seller accepted our offer.
