Katy Keene Metell has been a full-time realtor since 2004, working predominantly on the Main Line in suburban Philadelphia. Over two decades in the business, she has built a particular expertise working with international clients and ex-pats navigating the complexity of relocating to Greater Philadelphia ā whether that means purchasing a home or finding a rental that fits a more temporary assignment.
Katy understands that kind of move personally. She has lived in both Copenhagen and Sevilla, spending real time in each city, trying to learn a new language, figuring out the neighborhoods, and doing the daily work of settling into a place that isn't yet home. That experience shapes how she works with clients who are doing the same thing in reverse ā arriving in a new country with a lot of questions and not much time.
She knows the Main Line well. Katy has lived in the area since 1999, starting in the Society Hill section of Philadelphia before moving to Radnor and eventually settling in Wayne, where she lives now. She was actually born on the Main Line, spent her early years in Chestnut Hill where she attended Germantown Friends School, before her family relocated to Martha's Vineyard when she was young. Coming back as an adult gave her a different lens on the area: she chose it, and she can explain exactly why.
Katy graduated from Boston University with a BA in Art History ā a background that comes up more often than you'd expect in real estate. She has a strong eye for architecture, period details, and proportion, and she brings that to how she evaluates and presents homes.
She enjoys the work on both sides of a transaction: finding the right fit for buyers and negotiating the right terms for sellers. After 20+ years, that hasn't changed.
