Kay Kimbrough

A Florida native, Kay grew up in the horse farm country of Ocala. The daughter of a cattle rancher, her parents modeled a strong work ethic and pride in a job well done. Wide-open rolling pastures were the first real estate she knew. After graduating with a B.S. in Elementary Education, Kay held an active teaching license for 14 years, working in Sarasota and Tampa before beginning her real estate career in 2004. This was a natural choice and transition after building six custom homes and moving nine times in 20 years before becoming a realtor.

Kay’s valuable skill set as an educator is a perfect match for the real estate industry. Constantly striving to learn and improve, Kay has earned valuable designations to serve her clients better, such as Certified Residential Specialist ® (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR ® Institute (GRI), Seniors Real Estate Specialist ® (SRES), Certified Military Relocation Specialist ® (MRP).

Kay has additional strengths in interior design and home staging. Kay can help sellers set the stage for potential home buyers to imagine how they could live in a property and make it their home. This can be as simple as rearranging what the home seller already has, or it can include bringing in furniture, accessories, and art to make the home appeal to more buyers. In addition, having custom designed and built six homes personally, Kay has the experience to help buyers interested in new construction, from reviewing floor plans to selecting products and finishes.

She is organized, efficient, and ready to help! Kay’s goal is to commit to superior client service first with handshake integrity, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency; then to continuously maintain a reputation of quality and kindness that her clients can rely on.

Kay enjoys serving at the First Baptist Church of Tampa when not at the office. She delights in entertaining friends, family, and clients in her home and considers gardening, playing with her dog, and trying out a new recipe as time well spent!
