With a background in communications, marketing, education, grant writing, and professional photography, Kellie possesses a comprehensive skill set ideally suited to real estate. She values both interpersonal connections and analytical detail, and she believes that clients hire her not to try but to win. Her results-oriented personality is driven by this philosophy.
Having lived in Lafayette for over 40 years, Kellie has an intimate knowledge of the area and its vibrant, multi-layered culture. She holds a master's degree in English with a concentration in folklore and enjoys sharing the rich history and culture of South Louisiana. Her professional background also includes teaching English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for eight years and working as a full-time grant writer for the Louisiana United Methodist Disaster Recovery Ministry, which served homeowners across the Gulf Coast following hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.
Kellie's husband, Gary Kinsland, originally from the coast of Oregon, considers himself a naturalized Cajun and an avid outdoorsman who adores Louisiana's "Sportsman's Paradise." After serving 45 years as a Professor of Geophysics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Gary retired in 2022, and he continues his work at the university as professor emeritus. His research focuses on topics such as the KT Impact (the comet that killed the dinosaurs), the Vermilion River, coalbed methane, and the formation of the Gulf of Mexico. Gary is also a Louisiana state-certified expert witness. He is passionate about sharing his love for Louisiana with others.
Kellie is committed to providing clients with the best quality experiences and outcomes possible, believing that satisfied clients lead to new referrals. Those interested in her real estate services are encouraged to contact her to learn more about how she can help meet their needs.
