Kendall is an Alabama native who grew up vacationing on 30A and in Destin. She earned a marketing degree from LSU and started her career in hospitality at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, where she learned what world-class service actually requires. In 2006 she brought that standard to the Emerald Coast. She spent six years at Emerald Grande in Destin specializing in new construction, investment strategy, and second-home ownership, then earned her broker's license and founded Key Realty of the Emerald Coast before launching The Kendall Hood Collection at Compass.
The team's home base is Scenic Highway 30A, the coastal stretch of South Walton County that connects a series of distinct beach neighborhoods, no two of which trade the same way. Much of that corridor carries a Santa Rosa Beach address, the name many buyers use for the area and where the team is based. Along the corridor that means Rosemary Beach, Seacrest Beach, Alys Beach, Kaiya, WaterSound, Seagrove Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, and Dune Allen, with Inlet Beach just off the east end.
