"Let me tell you about my friend Ken. I had initially met Ken in 2008 when I was house hunting. After my attempts to find a house were thwarted by my marriage falling apart I figured that Hudson County was simply not meant to be and moved on. Fast forward to 2014, happily remarried, my interest in Hudson County was renewed and my husband, and 8 month old started the process of finding a house in Jersey City. What Luck! We found the perfect property just 2 weeks into our search. Ken was great at negotiating with seller and we were very happy that we ended up in contract. The holidays caused some delays, none of which was Ken's fault, and finally in the middle of January 2015 we were ready to seal the deal. I remember thinking that the process was so much easier than I expected. As is usually the case with famous last words, the process took an unfortunate turn when I received a call from our attorney telling us that the house was pretty much destroyed after a pipe burst in the attic. Believe it or not, we stayed in contract and during the 20 month renovation Ken was available to help, negotiate, and console through every step of the process. He is an exceptional person and I am so fortunate to have happened upon him all those years ago. There were many who dropped the ball throughout our ordeal but Ken (and our mortgage broker) were consistently professional, and friendly. I would not have been able to complete this process without him. I hope that one day we sell our house so we can list it with Ken."
