Kevin Haines

Kevin grew up on his family's cattle ranch in western South Dakota. His journey to real estate began in 1989 when he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. After his service, he moved to Austin in 1992, studying business at Austin Community College and the University of Texas before spending a decade in management with HEB. His personal experience buying his first home at age 24 sparked a lifelong passion for the industry, leading him to earn his real estate license in 2002. Since then, he has become a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Austin Board of REALTORS®, and the Texas Association of REALTORS®. As a US Army veteran and member of the VFW, he brings a disciplined, down-to-earth, and honest approach to his work that his clients deeply value.

Kevin has called Barton Hills home since 2008 and possesses specialized, "boots-on-the-ground" knowledge of Austin’s most iconic neighborhoods. His expertise spans Barton Hills, Zilker, Travis Heights, Bouldin Creek, Westlake, and Lost Creek, as well as the entirety of Central, North Central, East, West, and South Austin. He stays at the forefront of market trends and is known for being a tireless advocate who is never too busy to answer a client's question.

When he isn’t negotiating deals, Kevin is an active part of the community he serves. He lives in Barton Hills with his two daughters, and you’ll often find him hiking the Barton Creek Greenbelt, gardening, or visiting Zilker Park. He is a fan of Austin originals like Loro, Black Sheep Lodge, Easy Tiger, and the Alamo Drafthouse. He enjoys spending his weekends exploring quirky Austin shops like Uncommon Objects or Far Out Fittings.
