"Today I am sitting in our 1st house EVER. After renting for all of my adult life, (for context I left my parents house at 19 and am not 40) I never thought my little family and I would find that one quirky, safe, welcoming home. We have always been casually looking but when a place around the corner from our old apartment went up for sale and we wanted to put in an offer, our friends directed us the Dear-LA and we got to meet Kevin Rice. Kevin understood the rush factor, taught us what we needed to know on the fly, and when we didn't get the place he helped us mourn but keep going. For 7 months Kevin supported our ebbing and flowing search. At times we had to step back from looking due to life-work-illness but Kevin never hounded us. He offered support when we wanted to view something even though we have crazy schedules, helped us connect with all the right inspectors, and gave us space to think when we needed to way the pros and cons of particular properties. Kevin got to know our quirky taste and need for green space and connected us with the PERFECT home for us. So here I am, surrounded by boxes, writing this review from my couch while looking out onto trees and succulents I get to foster the growth of.
