About Kim
Born and raised on the Main Line, Kim Carey brings 25 years of real estate experience and a lifelong connection to the communities she serves. She grew up in Villanova and now calls Devon home. Knowing this area as both a Realtor and a resident allows her to offer clients a personal perspective on its neighborhoods, schools, and everyday life.
Before beginning her real estate career, Kim lived in New York City and worked in Home Design/Creative Services for Ralph Lauren, the iconic
American fashion and lifestyle brand. That experience refined her eye for
design and continues to influence how she helps clients stage and present
their homes beautifully. She also enjoys helping buyers recognize the
possibilities in a new space.
Real estate has always been part of Kim’s family. She learned the business
alongside her mother, Sandy McAlaine, whose distinguished career on the
Main Line spanned nearly five decades. Her mother taught her the
importance of knowing the market, earning clients’ trust, and following
through. Those values have guided Kim’s own career, and much of her
business comes from longtime clients, personal referrals, and relationships
built over the years.
Kim’s clients rely on her for candid advice, strong negotiating skills, and a
calm, practical approach. She takes the time to understand what matters to
each client, keeps them informed, and works through the details so their
move feels smoother and more manageable. At Compass, she combines that
personal service with the company’s technology, marketing resources, and
extensive network. She also holds the Accredited Buyer’s Representative
(ABR) designation and offers clients connections to trusted local designers,
builders, and contractors.
Kim and her husband Steve are proud parents of two daughters, both
Conestoga High School graduates. Her older daughter is a Penn State
graduate (Marketing Manager at ARAH Agency), and her younger daughter
is completing her senior year there. Raising her family in Devon has
deepened Kim’s connection to the community and her appreciation for
everything the Main Line offers. She also serves on the board of Saint
Edmond’s, supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, fashion, tennis and time with family and friends.
New York City remains a special place for her.
For Kim, one of the most rewarding parts of real estate is seeing clients
become longtime friends. She brings warmth, local insight, and a strong
commitment to helping people move forward with confidence. When you
work with Kim, you gain more than a Realtor, you gain a trusted advocate
who looks out for your interests and remains a resource long after you’ve
settled into your new home.
