Kirk Schexnaider

Kirk Schexnaider, a native of the Lafayette area, knows the local communities well. Born in Kaplan, Louisiana, he attended school in Lafayette Parish and graduated from Lafayette High in 2002. It was during high school that Kirk met his future wife, Katie. They were high school sweethearts and married in May of 2008—a year that also saw Kirk earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Industrial Technology and purchase his first home. Over the next few years, Kirk and Katie were blessed with three boys: Cole in 2009, Ashton in 2011, and Kaiden in 2014. As an avid hunter, he raises his boys to appreciate nature and outdoor living. Kirk and his entire family are diehard UL Ragin Cajun fans and hardly ever miss a game.

Kirk's journey in real estate began after a nine-year tenure at Target, where he served as an Executive Team Lead. Despite his dedication and hard work, he sought a career allowing him to better help people and build up the community. In 2012, Kirk earned his real estate license and joined the team at RE/MAX Acadiana. His first year in real estate, he earned the Rookie of the Year award for the state of Louisiana. In subsequent years, he earned Executive Club and 100% Club awards with RE/MAX. Seven years later, he joined the Van Eaton and Romero family to continue growing his business. Now, his passion for the local area and its people shines through in his work.
