Kristine Kappel

Kristine Kappel is a passionate Realtor, empathetic listener and, perhaps most important when buying and selling real estate, she is a calming presence guiding you through the transaction and holding your hand every step of the way. When you work with Kristine, you are working with someone who will take time to understand you, your needs, and will always be ready to crack a joke or lend a hand (or a listening ear!) just when you need it most! 

She believes in ensuring you feel confident and comfortable with any real estate decision you make, whether it is your first home or your 100th investment property, and that is why she leads with education.

She prides herself on being a skilled negotiator with keen attention to detail. She especially enjoys working with first time homebuyers and helping them navigate the home buying process to achieve their dreams. Kristine has completed additional classes to better support her VA loan buyers and sellers and has the VA Loan and Military Relocation Professional Certifications. 

When Kristine isn’t making homeownership dreams come true for her clients, she enjoys spending time exploring the city, uncovering new hikes, and sampling food from around the world right here in San Diego. Kristine loves an urban, walkable lifestyle and owns a condo in downtown San Diego in the Marina District neighborhood with her husband and two fur cat babies. They also own an investment condo in the Little Italy neighborhood. 

She loves that she can walk or take a short transit ride everywhere, including the famous Saturday Little Italy Mercato. Kristine enjoys volunteering and supports the San Diego Food Depository, San Diego Humane Society, San Diego Blood Bank, Surfrider, and many other organizations. 

Kristine is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Communications and a Minor in Political Science. She has an Executive MBA Certificate from Loyola University Chicago. Originally from North Dakota, Kristine also lived in downtown Chicago for 18 years before relocating to San Diego. She is the founder of the 300+ member organization, Chicagoans in San Diego. 

Kristine previously worked for nearly 20 years as an award-winning marketing and communications professional for the top PR firms and nonprofits in the country. 

In addition to being a licensed real estate agent, Kristine also manages the marketing and operations for the Kappel Realty Group, the #1 Large Real Estate Team in San Diego (San Diego Business Journal, by units sold) and named America's Best Top 1.5% of teams in the country (Wall Street Journal).
