About Kurt

Born and raised in Kansas City, Kurt Hueschen got his start in the construction business early. By age 17, he was already building room additions across the metro area and as far away as Table Rock Lake. At 21, he moved to Hawaii for college, working as a carpenter while pursuing his Communications-Print Media degree. Following graduation, he spent several years as a union journeyman carpenter, participating in numerous boat-building projects that sparked a deep passion for sailing large vessels.

Splitting his time between carpentry and the ocean, Kurt eventually earned his 100-Ton USCG Captain's license after several expeditions to the South Seas aboard a 90-foot schooner. It was on the water, while captaining a catamaran off the northwest coast of Kauai, that he met his wife. After 15 years away, they decided to move back to his hometown to raise their family together.

Now, for over a decade, Kurt has been happily rooted back in Kansas City, thriving and providing excellence in the residential real estate market. While he occasionally misses the ocean, he loves his life in KC and applies his unique maritime and construction background directly to his career as an agent.
