Having grown up in the San Gabriel Valley, James is an expert on hot eastside niche neighborhoods that are attracting growing interest in the LA market -- including Baldwin Park, La Puente, West Covina, Walnut, Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights. While he works with a range of clients, the majority of his buyers are millennials like himself who are just getting married and/or buying their first homes. These clients also make James a go-to resource for homeowners and their agents seeking motivated buyers for their properties. James is known for proactive service and support at every stage of the process and beyond, and respected as a sharp negotiator who sees every detail of the deal on his clients’ behalf.
Working with first-time homeowners takes a special range of skills. “First-timers need extra attention and guidance,” he says. “My first job is to help give them the knowledge they need to make the right decision. My second is to make the process stress-free, enjoyable and memorable. That starts with ensuring that they can reach me at any time.” In this market, just having the down payment can be the biggest challenge. James uses his connections to introduce his clients to a lender who can secure the best rate for their situation and expedite a smooth, fast closing.
Holder of a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Management from California State University Los Angeles, James first honed his incisive ability to understand peoples’ tastes, needs and lifestyles while managing his father’s furniture store. He still draws on this skill every day to connect with his clients.
James is as energetic off the job as on, often spending his free time snowboarding, hiking and camping. He’s a self-described electronics/tech geek and a foodie who loves exploring the tastes of new cultures across LA and around the world.
