Born and raised in New Orleans, Julie Goldman discovered her early love of design by exploring the decadent and timeless architecture of that magical American city. She quickly learned that elegant design must intersect with the practical requirements of modern life. With a degree in Art History from Tufts University, Julie refined her own aesthetic and her understanding of the ways families can thrive in their surroundings. In the late 90’s, and after a decade in Chicago, Julie encouraged her new husband to pursue his filmmaking dreams out West and together they established a new life in Los Angeles. Now, twenty years later, Julie has a thriving interior design firm, J. Latter Design, and has expanded her practice as a real estate agent with Compass. Julie brings an endless curiosity to what makes a successful home by combining her savoir faire in interior design with the intricacies of buying, selling and investing in real estate. For decades, clients have entrusted Julie with their most private domestic and financial dreams. Real estate clients feel secure that Julie treats every transaction with the utmost discretion while advocating for their best interests. As an LA transplant, Julie offers a breadth of knowledge about what it takes to make a happy home in a new city. Living away from your immediate support system can leave you adrift, and Julie is adept at navigating the ins and outs of this complicated city. From the beach towns to the East Side, Julie’s curiosity about LA and her work ethic have driven her to navigate and understand it all. She knows the importance of not only finding the right home, but in also finding the right neighborhood. Should you consider listing your home with Julie, you can feel confident that Julie brings her property-specific aesthetic to all marketing, staging and transactional needs. When not scouring LA for its many jewels, Julie is often hiking Runyon Canyon with her lab, Trudie, exploring artisan markets, or relaxing at home with her husband and two daughters.
