“We have utilized Lane on all our real estate transactions in New Orleans for 15 years. He has acted as both our selling agent and buying agent on multiple deals and he has consistently met or exceeded our expectations. We have been real estate investors for over 25 years all over the country and Lane is the best agent we have worked with, hands down. He is truly a professional and expert in his field. He is eager to help and I consult with him anytime I am even considering a deal. Do yourself a favor and make Lane your New Orleans realtor for life, as we did.“ - Jeff and Marie T.

“My career was acquiring telecommunications real estate so I knew the inherently emotional challenges of selling and buying my own homes. I sought out Lane because he represented a seller's home I unsuccessfully tried to purchase because Lane impressed me with his objective assessments of value. Now working for me, he regularly told me "no" when I needed to check my impulses and "yes" when it was time to act decisively. “ - Jamie D.

“I owned my single Victorian Shotgun with a modified Side-hall Gallery home in the historic Faubourg Marigny in New Orleans for 32 years. When I decided to move, I chose Lane Lacoy to be my seller’s agent based on his reputation and proven record of successful selling. I met and contracted with him in Mid-November of 2024. He began by giving me specific advice on tasks, including repairs and staging, that needed to be accomplished to ready my home for sale. He even suggested some specific tradesmen whom I employed with tasks that were beyond my home maintenance ability. By early February 2025, I had my home readied. After his viewing of my prepped home, he declared that “all we needed was the right buyer who wanted all of the ‘Vintage New Orleans’ architectural detail and charm that I had painstakingly kept and restored.” After posting my home’s listing in the MLS, he had an open house and showings. We then received several offers in the first month that he wisely advised me to reject, some of which were offers from buyers with quite dubious financing. At the end of March/the beginning of April we received a credible offer. Lane guided me and advised me through the meticulous counter offering and negotiating process until the buyer and I reached an acceptable price. Lane guided me too, wisely, through the inspection process and the final closing on April 30, 2025. Lane Lacoy demonstrates all of the highest standards desired of a great a real estate agent: unquestionable ethics; comfortably well-practiced professionalism; excellent communication skills, including the ability to vacillate between both a charmer and a staunch defender when either is needed; and trustworthy experience and wisdom regarding the real estate buying and selling processes. He fully acknowledges and embraces that his success is dependent upon achieving his client’s desired outcome. With Lane’s guidance and agency, I achieved my desired outcome to great satisfaction with my house being on the market for little more than two months. I would recommend Lane Lacoy without any reservation to anyone looking to buy or sell property, especially those in or interested in historic New Orleans neighborhoods.“ - Randy B

“Lane Lacoy sold us our house in the Marigny, New Orleans, some 13 years ago - and he sold it for us when we recently moved! Knowing the house well proved a blessing, as he was able to find us a purchaser who would love and appreciate its character as much as we have, despite a very flat market, especially for a house that had not been gutted and modernized inside, but had kept its original Marigny Creole cottage qualities - a process that needed great patience and realism! Professional, experienced, totally trustworthy - and a pleasure to work with!“ - Nigel H.

“Lane is a true Professional. Dedicated to his clients and always fair to customers and achieving success for both. Lane has handled our real estate needs for many years and we would recommend him as a listing agent and as a buyers agent. If anything is needed for a home Lane is the person to call. He is always willing to help in any situation and he is truly a super educated Realtor. As a Real Estate Broker myself I can attest to his true dedication to our profession. “ - Margaret M.

“My recent professional association with Lane could not have been more rewarding. I was the owner of a troubled piece of property in the Marigny that I needed to sell during this current period of serious challenges (high mortgage rates/high insurance rates) for the real estate market. From his first“ - Paul

“ Lane Lacoy is known as the best realtor in Marigny/Bywater for many reasons: he has a long history in the neighborhood, he knows the market better than anyone, and he's honest, realistic, careful, dependable, and professional. I couldn't be more satisfied with the process and the results of my transaction, and I recommend Lane to anyone buying or selling in the area. “ - Randy L.
