Lara Hope

One of the brightest lights in the American roots music scene, with deep ties to the local community, Lara is excited to bring her talents to The Modern Solutions Team. Over a decade of performing with and managing her bands—locally, nationally, and internationally—has given Hope a diverse array of skills perfectly suited to real estate. “I’ve handled everything from booking, to press, to tour managing, to marketing,” says Lara. “I’ve learned how to talk to and connect with people of all ages and walks of life, and how to negotiate on behalf of myself and my bandmates.”

Specializing in working with first time homebuyers and sellers, often within the creative community of the Hudson Valley, Hope joins eight other women on The Modern Solutions Team, a dynamic collective founded in NYC, now with presence and expertise throughout New York state. The team has over $1 billion in lifetime sales and is ranked among the top 1.5 percent of agents in the country. Working with 15-year veteran Lori Mendelis, Lara will be a key part of the team’s expansion into the Hudson Valley. “Lara is one of those people I meet every once in a while and instantly know would be a natural in the business,” says Lori. 

Raised on Long Island, Lara moved to the Hudson Valley in 2005 to attend SUNY New Paltz, from which she graduated with a degree in Communication and Media. She instantly fell in love with the area and has been in Ulster County ever since. Lara has long had an interest in real estate—a passion that grew when she bought her first home in Midtown Kingston. “Even after I closed, I found myself continually looking at listings, digging deeper, and seeing houses in a new light,” she explains. “The joy I’ve gotten from being a homeowner is greater than I could’ve ever imagined.”

Boundlessly personable, Lara is looking forward to meeting new people and making genuine connections with them. “Buying a home is more than owning a piece of property,” she says. “It’s where you make your memories, spend time with your loved ones, cook your meals, and come up with big plans. It’s really your base. I’m excited to help people find that place that’s going to bring a sense of happiness and calm to their lives.”
