About Lara
Lara Shuqom is the Principal of The Collective, a top-producing team based out of Compass' Back Bay office. As one of the first agents to open Compass in Boston, Lara and her business partner launched The Collective to provide individuals, families, organizations, and investors with strong, ethical, discreet, sophisticated, and solutions-oriented real estate advice. Since its inception, The Collective has provided more sellers in New England with the services of Compass's signature program: Compass Concierge. 

Lara hails from one of the original families of Massachusetts that includes an author of the Commonwealth’s First Constitution of 1780. Born abroad in the Middle East and raised in Atlanta, Lara returned to her New England roots for a business education at Simmons University before ascending in Boston as one of the top agents in residential and commercial real estate. Prior to joining Compass, Lara was a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Investment Sales Group, the #1 Investment Sales Team for Cushman & Wakefield worldwide, and the Equity, Debt, and Structured Finance Group.

Lara views real estate through an investment lens. Her extensive market knowledge, excellent reputation, and unparalleled service empowers her clients with the ultimate high-touch experience. Her global perspective combined with her skills in the art of communication and negotiation enables her to act as a liaison for her clients as they navigate the marketplace. 

Lara is recognized as a Top 50 Women Leader in Real Estate. She is consistently ranked among the Top 1.5% of Realtors nationwide by the Wall Street Journal and as a Top Producer by Boston Magazine. Lara was named a “Dynamic Woman of Boston” and a "Luxury Real Estate Industry Leader" by Boston Common Magazine and appointed to the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s Global Council. 

Lara leads The Harvard Club of Boston Real Estate Group, serves on the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay, and as a Group Leader for Provisors Seaport. Lara volunteers with Dress for Success and lives with her husband in Back Bay.
