About Larry
Larry Zimmerman has a lifetime of experience in the business of housing, construction, and real estate. He received a BS in Real Estate from Syracuse University and obtained his real estate license at 19, and then spent five years in Lake Tahoe designing and building custom homes before joining the family construction business in New York in 1981.
After building and renovating high end offices, retail stores and apartments in New York City and throughout the country, Larry moved his young family to the Hamptons seeking a quieter lifestyle. Here, he has spent the last 30 years building and renovating high end custom homes from Montauk to the Shinnecock Canal. He has lived in Bridgehampton, Southampton, Amagansett and finally in East Hampton.
Larry is committed to the Compass mission; to help everyone find their place in the world. He is always happy to work with newcomers to the area, sharing his love of the East End. Bringing his passion for the housing industry, he adds tremendous insight to our team. After over 40 years of designing, building and renovating homes, Larry has cultivated an expertise in home construction that far exceeds most realtors.
