About Laura Bowman
Laura is committed to using her experience and knowledge of the real estate market to help her clients buy and sell wisely. She routinely goes above and beyond to provide the exceptional service that she strongly believes her clients deserve. Laura particularly enjoys working with first time home buyers and helping them navigate the buying process. She remembers going through that sometimes confusing process herself many years ago before becoming a Realtor when she bought her home with the help of the District's Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP).
Before shifting her career to real estate, Laura was a dedicated nonprofit manager. Whether raising money for housing programs for people with disabilities, managing a residential program for homeless youth, advising homeowners facing foreclosure, or educating homeowners about health and safety issues in their homes, her work has always focused in some way on housing. Laura believes that owning real estate is an important component of strong, stable communities and a tool for building individual wealth and that homeownership should be equally accessible for everyone.
Laura loves living in her blue bungalow in the NE DC neighborhood of Woodridge. When she’s not working on real estate, she's raising two amazing boys, cooking and seeking out unforgettable food experiences, meeting up with her writing group at local coffee shops, trying to wrangle her rescue beagle Penny on a dog walk or traversing nearby rivers and trails on foot, bike or kayak.
