About Lauren
Hi, I am Lauren Chorey. While I grew up in Atlanta, GA, I attended college at the University of Virginia, so Charlottesville has always had a long-standing special place in my heart. I love working in such an amazing place with so much to do and so many opportunities.
I’ve had a passion for real estate since I was 12 years old (if that) and thankful that I was able to direct my passion into a long-term career!
I have been working in real estate in various capacities since 2004, starting with the real estate development, marketing, and building side of the industry, then transitioning into appraisal and sales work in 2010 and 2011, respectively. I am active as both a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and Licensed Salesperson/Realtor(R).
My experience as a residential real estate appraiser allows me to bring a strong knowledge of valuation, construction techniques and materials, and an overall high-level of comfort researching and inspecting properties to the table for all buyers and sellers and for a range of property types and price points.
I look forward to going to work each day and getting to serve my clients so that they are able to achieve their real estate goals and dreams. I enjoy doing the research to help them find a home that is the best fit for them and that will be a place for making countless memories. Being able to see a buyer’s face light up and hearing them imagine a property as their new home is such a rewarding part of my job. I have considerable experience with helping buyers through the entire real estate process from contract to closing, which can sometimes be intimidating and unpredictable.
I am extremely fortunate to have developed a love of homes and for the real estate industry very early on and to have been able to have a career in something I enjoy so much. I am grateful for my clients’ trust and the opportunity to serve them in an area I am so passionate about!
