Len Knowlton

Len is a relationship-driven practitioner who skillfully navigates interpersonal dynamics to help clients find their dream homes. He is a distinguished educator, having earned numerous awards, including the 2013 Teacher of the Year and the 2011 Special Education Teacher of the Year. He holds a bachelor's degree in Special Education, a Master's degree in early childhood education, and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. Len capitalizes on building solid relationships while always remaining positive and kind with his infectious smile and cheerful demeanor. 

Len is a native of Patterson, Georgia. He retired from teaching elementary education for 27 years. Areas of teaching that he felt he was most effective at were teaching students with special needs in the inclusion classroom, working on mastering the general education state curriculum, as well as, teaching math in the general education classroom. His strength as a teacher was forming teacher/student relationships that promoted confidence in student abilities and generated high student engagement levels in the learning process.

Len has four children and two grandchildren who he is extremely proud of. He moved to Santa Rosa Beach in June of 2022 after retiring from teaching to live in the same city as his husband Duce May. He is into exercising and outdoor activities. Biking and pickleball are two of his favorites. Funny thing is, he expected to really enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast beach but he's too busy working too much to enjoy it!!!
