Libby Kirwin Kirby

Libby Kirwin Kirby has pioneered a client-first approach to real estate for more than 30 years, blending market expertise, creative marketing, and a deep appreciation for design and architecture. Born and raised in Newport, RI, Libby studied at Emerson College and the Massachusetts College of Art before beginning her real estate career in Boston, where she continues to hold a Massachusetts real estate license. Her early career also included international experience with International Yacht Collection, selling and managing mega yachts along the East Coast, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, and entrepreneurial ventures at home — notably founding Newport’s Jack & Josie’s internet café. - In 2008 Libby established Libby Kirwin Real Estate and over the following years guided hundreds of clients through buying, selling, renting, renovating, designing, and investing. As a design consultant she has collaborated on notable projects including the Fire House Inn, The Carey School Condos, and luxury waterfront interiors. Libby’s industry work also spans commercial transactions, including the sale of Scales in Shells Restaurant (2022), and ongoing development and renovation consulting. - From 2024 through 2026 Libby continued to expand her business, refining systems and growing her client roster while maintaining the personalized service her clients value. In 2026 Libby transitioned Libby Kirwin Real Estate to Compass to pair her boutique, design-forward practice with Compass’s technology, marketing platform, and broader network — ensuring enhanced exposure and resources for her clients while preserving the attentive, hands-on service she is known for. - Libby lives in Middletown, RI with her husband Kevin.
