But since houses are so expensive, and markets have been a bit crazy lately, we decided to go with a realtor on our recent sale and purchase. We chose Elizabeth Hirst because we were neighborhood friends, and she also worked with my sister when she moved her a few years ago. We couldn't have made a better decision. As far as her enthusiasm, she brings a new definition to the phrase "go getter". And her knowledge of the business is superior. She covered all the bases, and brought information and suggestions I would have never known or thought of. What impressed me most, which is one of my reasons for not working with realtors in the past, was though she was focused on moving the property in a timely fashion, she was still more concerned about getting us the most for our home that the market would bare. "Having sold four homes already, I thought I had it all figured out and that I was an expert and therefore thought I could sell it myself, by owner. In the past, I staged my own homes and usually took my own pictures. All my homes sold eventually, but I had seen some of Liz’s listings and liked the way they were marketed. There was something that set her listings apart. Also, knowing her personally, I knew she had an amazing work ethic and was a real go-getter. So, we decided to hire Liz.
At her initial walkthrough, she really liked our decor but had several suggestions that made a world of difference. WOW! We were blown away at how the house looked after we did exactly what she said.
