My passion is restoring old homes to their former glory with modern touches preserving the historic and architectural value of these properties. I love old historic homes and preservation of these old beauties that make up the fabric of our country ā oh if walls could talk! A DIY fanatic, I love to repurpose and reuse old/discarded items and architectural remnants. I am also a book author, a freelance contributor, and an advisory board member for a builder that develops sustainable and inclusive tiny home communities. I leverage my expertise in underwriting, real estate transactions, appraising and lending to consult my clients.
Thinking outside the box and getting a transaction to the closing table is my specialty. With over 25 years in the industry starting with Merrill Lynch in mortgaged-backed securities trading all the way to investing both nationwide and internationally ā I know how to navigate the sometimes complex and intricate waters of real estate. In an ever changing industry, you need to have someone on your side who understands all facets.

"I had accepted a job out of state, had been in the hospital and just wanted the move done! I checked an online offer company, which made an offer of $265k and their fees were about 9.9%. They later upped their offer to $274k Lorraine generated multiple offers in 24 hours of listing the home and I sold for $31k more ā and the commission I paid was a lot less than the online companyās total fees. It was a whirlwind as I had already been working out of state. I was super stressed and had relocated, but not moved all my furniture. Lorraine came in and organized the mess I left (half packed boxes, bags with things to be donated, furniture to be donated) to be able to take some pictures for the listing until I fully moved out a week later at which point she would have the cleaners come in and take professional pictures. Well, she did her magic and got it under contract before I came back a week later to move! A few days before closing the attorney asked for a copy of the survey. Well, someone had dropped the ball and the survey was done the day before closing. The survey showed that the neighborās fence was 20 feet ⦠YES! 20 feet on my property, yet the neighborās survey showed their fence on their yard! Meanwhile, I am already living in another state so what does Lorraine do? She gets a copy of the survey and she and her husband walk my back yard, way back in the woods by the creek where itās snake city, to find the survey markers, take pictures and show that one of the surveyorās stakes (the one that shows on the survey is where the fence is) is in the middle of my backyard and nowhere near the neighborās fence. Lorraine was able to speak with my neighbor, get a copy of her survey, e-mail the attorney and proceed to the closing table. She was able to calm the buyers and show them that, clearly, there was an error and managed to close the deal with the understanding that we would hash this out after closing, have the surveyor come back out and take care of any issue if there was in fact one. Being 12 hours away, I could not have done this without Lorraine. She also handled all the repairs, got the contractors in and out and made sure everything was right. I canāt thank her enough and highly recommend Lorraine! (I should note ā I bought this house via Lorraine a few years prior to selling!)
