About Lucas
Lucas Martinez comes to Compass after a successful career in marketing and advertising for a number of large global lifestyle brands. Relentlessly curious, Lucas makes a study of learning about people and what motivates them to buy. He prides himself on being able to read between the lines and discover what buyers are truly looking for.
Lucas decided to come to Compass when he discovered the power of the company’s technology and agent tools. A tech-savvy digital native, he was immediately fascinated with the Compass website and apps, realizing just how much value he could bring to clients by becoming an expert at using them.
An East Coast native, Lucas’ family moved to Santa Barbara while he attended Boston College. After 4 years of regularly escaping the snow for the beauty of the Central Coast, he knew where he would end up. He has since made a life here, meeting his beautiful wife, Katie, and raising two boys (Adrian & Nico), along with two pups (Bernie and Zoey). After spending most of his life on the East Coast, Lucas never takes the wonder of Santa Barbara for granted, and he loves sharing his adopted home with as many people as possible (which includes his running list of the area’s best food and cocktails).
