About Mallory

A Tennessee native, I’ve called the Triangle home for the past 11 years. My winding path to real estate has shaped how I connect with and care for my clients. After earning a PhD in Maternal and Child Health from UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health, I spent three years conducting health research at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. With the dissolution of the Office of Research and Development, I decided to pivot!

I know firsthand that buying or selling a home can be deeply emotional and often tied to major life transitions. I approach each client relationship with empathy, clear communication, and care. My background in research also means I bring a strong analytical mindset — assessing a property’s value thoughtfully and advocating effectively during negotiations.

Outside of real estate, I’m the founder and owner of Real Scrappy, a Chapel Hill–based food scrap collection and composting service.

After living in Carrboro, Durham, and Raleigh, I’ve settled in Chapel Hill with my husband, one-year-old daughter, dog, and cat. When I’m not working, you can usually find me with my family or friends, crafting (knitting, crocheting, or weaving), gardening, or unwinding with some terrible reality TV.
