Maria Szakacs

Maria Szakacs, a Brooklyn resident who has called New York City home for more than 22 years, brings both local insight and a passion for helping people find the perfect place to call home.  She began her career in residential real estate while living in Laguna Beach, CA where she specialized in selling luxury coastal properties.  

Maria came to real estate after a highly successful career in sales and marketing. Working on both the agency and client sides developing world-class brands at MTV, ABC and Disney, she spent more than 20 years creating and implementing innovative promotional campaigns while managing multi-million dollar budgets. Along the way, she honed a number of skills that prove invaluable to her real estate clients in her career today—one of the most critical being a superior capacity for effective negotiation.

Dedicated to giving back to her community, she serves on her block association in Bedford Stuyvesant and is an active member of her neighborhood community garden. Maria loves playing tennis, gardening, going to see live music, discovering new restaurants and exploring neighborhoods on her bike.
