Mark Todd built his name in Coastal Orange County the same way he built his businessāquietly, steadily, and with purpose. He didnāt chase celebrity Realtor attention but chose to celebrate the real estate he represented with tasteful intelligent marketing. He showed up, he listened, and he worked until clients got the results they wanted. He treated real estate not just as a job, but as a way to shape the places people live and raise their families. Over 30 years, he earned trust through authenticityāthrough results and resolve.
"I believe strong communities are built on strong values. The stronger those values - the greater the property values. My teamās mission is to increase the value of every neighborhood we serve by fostering integrity, connection, and trust among its people."
Mark didnāt stay in the narrow lane of sales. As a Director for both local and state Realtor Associations, he led changes in technology, finance, and policy that still affect the way business is done today. He wasnāt content to watch from the sidelines. When Newport Beach needed an advocate, Mark stepped up. He served as an emissary and expert witness during Coastal Commission hearingsāhis testimony helped create Sunset Ridge Park and as the Past President of the Newport Beach of Realtors he defended the rights of Bayfront property owners.
Before California, there were other chaptersāeach sharpening his edge. He led national ad campaigns that moved markets, then served as a media correspondent for a U.S. Senator, writing from the frontlines of legislation and negotiation. In banking, he managed mortgage divisions for some of the countryās top firms. These werenāt just rĆ©sumĆ© items. They were experiences that shaped a broker who sees the full boardāstrategy, risk, and timing.
Clients trust Mark because he knows the game and calls it straight. Heās precise, focused, and direct. His gift isnāt salesmanship. Itās his clarity. He understands what matters most beyond a dealās esoterics, in impact of the outcome. In luxury estates or commercial real estate, he puts his clientsā needs ahead of his own, every time to be available and prepared at a momentās notice.
Today, Mark is an Associate Broker at Compass Real Estate, where he leads with the same urbane wit and quiet confidence that comes from experience. From Los Angeles to San Diego, heās helped buyers and sellers navigate the high-end coastal market with savoir faire and agile negotiation skills. Making sense of marketing metrics and targeting tactile adaptations to data-driven feedback and pricing strategies create strong returns and smart investments for Markās clients.
But Markās work doesnāt stop at the edge of a closing statement. Heās coached youth, high school, and collegiate lacrosse across Southern California, believing that leadership starts early. Heās helped build programs and young men at the same time. His work with nonprofits and community organizations is less visible, but just as steady locally with the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation and nationally with Ambassadors of Compassion.
From Baltimore to Balboa, Mark Toddās story is one of grit, discipline, and results. He didnāt just build a businessāhe helped build communities. And in every property, every team, and every decision, he leaves the mark of a man who still believes in showing up and getting the job done right!
