Marko Beric

Marko Beric is a real estate broker with Compass in Chicago's Lincoln Park office. He brings an analyst’s perspective and a consultative approach to real estate, recognizing that every client, property, and transaction is unique.

As both a real estate broker and property owner in Illinois and Colorado, Marko understands that buying or selling a home is both a significant financial investment and a deeply personal one. Through careful analysis of local market data and each property’s unique characteristics, he provides candid advice and helps clients make informed decisions. Educating clients and communicating clearly are central to how he approaches every relationship and transaction. He also draws on trusted relationships with staging companies, inspectors, contractors, and other professionals to support clients throughout the transaction and beyond.

Marko’s involvement in real estate began in his teenage years working for his father’s real estate appraisal company. He later earned his B.S. in Finance from DePaul University with a focus in real estate and worked as a financial analyst at a business valuation firm and a credit risk analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Marko began his career in real estate brokerage in 2011, earning Chicago Agent Magazine’s 2012 Rookie of the Year – City award in the aftermath of the financial crisis.

Marko relocated with his family to Boulder, Colorado, in 2016 and spent the following decade in B2B technology sales before returning to real estate.

Marko maintains strong ties to both Illinois and Colorado and spends time between the two. Outside of real estate, he jokingly describes himself as a “part-time chauffeur” to his two school-aged children. He also enjoys live comedy, skiing, cooking, and traveling.
