Marshall Ward

Marshall joined Compass Commercial in July 2024 as a Senior Vice President of Investments. Prior to joining Compass, he spent 10 years at Marcus & Millichap, where he served as Vice President and earned numerous Sales Recognition awards.

Specializing in multi-family housing, Marshall focuses on San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties, primarily selling 2-100 unit apartment buildings. In addition, he has extensive experience assisting clients with the acquisition and disposition of triple-net (NNN) properties, office, hospitality, retail, and land development assets.

Marshall’s deep knowledge of the real estate market, combined with his expertise in handling 1031 exchanges and navigating complex transactions, has made him a trusted advisor to his clients. Since 2015, Marshall has successfully closed over 100 real estate transactions, totaling more than $300,000,000 in sales. He is committed to consistently producing results and delivering exceptional value.

Marshall is a licensed real estate professional with the California Department of Real Estate and a member of the California Association of Realtors. He is also affiliated with The Tri-County Apartment Association, MLS, LoopNet, CoStar, and the National Multi-Housing Group.

Marshall resides in Walnut Creek, California with his wife Carissa and their two children, Lane and Lila. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and coaching his son’s Little League teams.
