Martin Hennessy

Martin Hennessy brings a distinctive combination of marketing expertise, entrepreneurial experience and deep local knowledge to The Gary Boisen Group. Before entering real estate, he built an accomplished career managing some of America’s most recognized brands, including Taco Bell, Pepsi and Frito-Lay. His background in marketing, advertising, media and consumer insights gives him a thoughtful, strategic approach to positioning properties, negotiating effectively and guiding clients through important decisions.

A California native, Martin has called Laguna Beach home since 1995. More than three decades of living in the community have given him an intimate understanding of its neighborhoods, residential market and coastal lifestyle. Having personally built and remodeled several homes in Laguna Beach, he also offers valuable firsthand knowledge of local architecture, construction, design and the city’s design-review process.

Martin’s entrepreneurial experience includes founding and managing a fast-casual restaurant concept in Dallas that received recognition for its food, guest experience and design. Throughout his career, he has also had the opportunity to develop and mentor emerging leaders, many of whom have gone on to hold senior executive and C-suite positions. That same ability to listen carefully, see the bigger picture and help people move forward with confidence is central to the way he works with his real estate clients.

Martin earned a degree in marketing and advertising from Southern Methodist University, complemented by international studies in architecture and art.

He and his wife, Nicole, have raised their two children in Laguna Beach. Their daughter will begin the Dual BA Program at Columbia University, studying in Dublin for two years before completing her degree in New York. As a family, they enjoy the beach, traveling with friends and embarking on memorable adventures together.
