A Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, and a real estate sales and rental agent from 2014 on, Matt DeSilva is passionate about his field and fully dedicated to serving his clients. People love working with him because he is friendly and diligent, resourceful and knowledgeable, plus keeps them in the loop with regular updates.
“I do my best to find the right fit for my clients, offering guidance and insights without being pushy,” says Matt, who represents buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants all over New York City, and has completed transactions in four of the five boroughs. As a long time New Yorker who has lived and worked throughout NYC, he knows the neighborhoods and has a pulse on the market in terms of offerings, inventory, activity and trends.
Originally from Garrison, NY, Matt graduated from New York University with a B.A. degree in History. He has called New York City home since 1988, living in the East and West Villages and the Lower East Side. Matt has resided in Williamsburg, Brooklyn since 2009 where he owns a co-op and serves as board president of his building. He additionally owned in the East Village in the past, so brings a personal real estate perspective to his professional experience leveraging his expertise. Prior to real estate, Matt was a recording engineer, guitar department salesperson then manager at Manny’s Music, and owner of Guitar Man, a retail musical instrument store in NYC. As a longtime musician and bass player, music is of course a favorite pastime – he can be seen playing in The Patti Rothberg Coincidence regularly.
