About Matt

I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, and I genuinely love everything about this cityā€”from the trails and neighborhoods to the energy of downtown. Iā€™m passionate about infill housing and thoughtful urbanism, and I care deeply about building walkable, connected communities that make Durham such a special place to live.

I attended Belmont University, where I ran track and cross country, and running is still a huge part of my life. I run a marathon every year and am currently on a five-year journey to break 2:30 in the marathon. When Iā€™m not working, youā€™ll usually find me out for a run, walking my dog with my wife, or gardening at home.

Iā€™ve been working in real estate for about five years and truly love helping people find the right place to call home. My wife owns a coffee shop here in Durham, which doubles as my favorite place to get work done. Iā€™m also a big Duke athletics fan and take pride in being deeply rooted in the community I serve.
