Max Wickham is a born-and-raised San Franciscan who spent his childhood wandering the cityās neighborhoods on lazy weekend walks, marveling at how each corner ā like a snowflake or a pearl ā had its own character but fit into the whole city mosaic. Educated in public schools and later at SF State, Max grew up loving the 7Ć7, and heās been privileged to live in or spend time in North Beach, the Mission, Inner Richmond, Outer Sunset, and Chinatown. That deep, lived-in familiarity with San Francisco is at the heart of how he serves clients today.
With nearly a decade of experience in real estate marketing, Max sees every home as more than square footage and finishes. The best marketing, he believes, doesnāt just sell a house ā it tells the story of what makes it you. After years behind the scenes at a leading Bay Area real estate marketing firm, heās helped craft hundreds of campaigns that go far beyond photography ā blending floor plans, immersive websites, thoughtful copy, and beautiful print materials. Most importantly, heās collaborated closely with top agents to bring those stories to life ā understanding their vision, amplifying their strategies, and ensuring every listing tells a cohesive, compelling story. That perspective gives him a rare understanding of how visuals, staging, and messaging combine to attract the right buyer. Max doesnāt just list homes ā he curates experiences.
When representing sellers, Maxās goal is for them to feel that their personal history ā the stories, the sweat, the laughter ā has been honored, and for them to walk away confident in their next chapter. When working with buyers, he listens first, then negotiates fiercely. Heās not afraid to roll up his sleeves, dig into comps, liaise with contractors, or lean on his network to make things happen.
One of Maxās formative memories comes from childhood: watching the buyersā agent hand his parents a bottle of champagne and the keys to their home in the Inner Richmond. That moment ā the mix of relief, excitement, and promise ā stays with him. He hopes every client gets more than a transaction; he hopes they feel seen, safe, and optimistic about whatās ahead.
Off the clock, Maxās life is rich with creative and community threads. In a past life, he toured with bands, handling logistics, pressing records, and booking shows ā roles that taught him discipline, āon-your-feetā problem-solving, and how to keep people happy (or at least in the room). Heās an avid reader (think Pynchon, BolaƱo, Vollmann, Roth), a skateboarder and surfer, and loves nothing more than afternoons at Ocean Beach with his wife and child.
Max is here to help you make your next home move feel meaningful, not just transactional. Heāll dig for what matters to you, treat your story with care, and fight hard for your best outcome.
