“I never thought it could be this easy. We weren’t trying to sell our Pelican Crest home, but I secretly wished it would just magically happen without me having to do anything. THAT is exactly what happened. Marcy Weinstein texted me one day about someone looking to buy in Pelican Crest. We threw out a wild number—the number it would take for us to sort through a lifetime of stuff that wouldn’t travel with us to the next chapter of our lives. That number was accepted. Still, there was the challenge of all the furniture. No problem. Marcy sold the furnishings along with the house. Going into escrow happened so fast and so easily, that we expected it to fall through. The buyer wouldn’t qualify for the mortgage.
