"Melinda solely quarterbacked and executed the sale of our family's Townhome in South Loop. Melinda is a consummate professional and she advised a sale price that was a win-win for the new buyer and our family. Melinda gets the job done!" - John
"I would recommend Melinda without reservation. She has consistently saved me considerable time and money, and brought everything about in the most gracious way imaginable.Melinda Jakovich, with dispatch and discernment, helped with several moves of mine over the last three years. When the new construction of a building obstructed the views I had previously enjoyed from my beautiful rental unit at the Park Hyatt Residences, Melinda, in very short order, found an even larger unit for me at the Four Seasons Residences which offered much-welcomed lake and harbor views. The small difference in price made me appreciate Melinda?s business acumen. Intrigued by the construction of The Elysian and its residences, I then asked Melinda what might be available for me there. This is when I truly began to appreciate her skills. She found a stunning residence and negotiated an excellent price. Given that my current lease would expire several months after the beginning of the new one, this presented a bit of a challenge for me, since it would require me to pay double rent for a 2-month period. I agreed to this nonetheless, and was completely thrilled when Melinda asked if I would consider vacating in December as she found a new tenant who would like to move in. It was as though she waved a magic wand and conjured up the perfect solution! After quickly putting my things in storage, I enjoyed a very happy holiday period prior to my January 2010 move-in, secure in the knowledge that Melinda had made 2 months of very expensive rent disappear! Now that I have decided to stay in Chicago, I?m already in the process of having Melinda help me find a place to purchase. In light of her past performance I can hardly wait to see what happens next! I would recommend Melinda without reservation. She has consistently saved me considerable time and money, and brought everything about in the most gracious way imaginable." - Stephanie
"My husband and I first met Melinda in 2000. We decided to move from the suburbs to the city. Melinda spent countless hours with us trying to find the right place. We found a wonderful town home in the Lakeview neighborhood . This is where not only her professional services began but also a long friendship. After buying and selling two more places with us we finally found our home.Melinda was very diligent about getting buyers and the right price for us. She worked very hard to make sure that we found the perfect place . When it is time to move again she will be the one to sell our home!" - Roberta
"My wife Dawn and I would definitely recommend the services of Melinda Jakovich to others regarding the sale of their home. Given the current environment, we were pleased to sell our home within seven months of first going to market. Melinda possessed a strong command of the market in our River North area. She had market intelligence regarding nearby sales activity that was not matched by competing real estate agents. Her knowledge of both potential sales and also recent closings helped guide us in making the right pricing decisions to ensure the efficient marketing of our home. Once we had an offer, Melinda worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition. This included several late hours spent working with the Buyer of our home, to find the right middle ground for both sides of the transaction. She did a good job of informing us of the Buyer's motivations and helping guide our decision-making process. Our closing date came and went without incident, primarily because Melinda expertly identified sticking points and key dates without fail. During our moving process, Melinda also aided us in our search for a short-term housing solution. As was consistent with the process of selling our home, Melinda worked long and hard to find us a good solution. She made countless phone calls to agents and potential landlords, to find the right rental for us. The help we received was priceless, which was especially important to us because our time is already filled with caring for our young children. We could not have gotten through the process as efficiently as we did without Melinda's help. My wife Dawn and I are happy to serve as a reference for Melinda in her future endeavors." - John
"I had a very nice condo in Lakeview I wanted to list. I soliceted the advice of friends who had positive experiences buying and selling their property and Melinda and her team came highly recommended. They put together a marketing program to get my home on the market and were very active in showing the property and holding open house showings. They have a very good network. My property sold in about 45 days with a lot of activity off the bat. I would recommend Melinda if your in the market to buy or sell."
