Melinda Rusconi

I’m an Oakland + East Bay REALTOR® with Compass, a fifth-generation East Bay native, and a former project and program management leader with 15+ years of experience bringing structure, clarity, and organization to complex projects. 

Real estate was something I wanted to pursue after earning my bachelor’s degree, but my career took me in another direction. I went on to earn my master’s degree in marketing and build a career in project and program management, working with companies including Walmart Connect, Google, Twitter, Salesforce, and GoPro across UX, creative, marketing, events, advertising technology, and operations, including leading programs focused on building AI-powered creative platforms. 

That experience shapes how I approach real estate today. Buying or selling a home involves a lot of moving pieces, competing priorities, deadlines, decisions, and people. My background taught me how to manage complexity, anticipate what needs to happen next, communicate clearly, and keep projects moving forward. Those are the same skills I bring to my clients throughout a real estate transaction. 

As a fifth-generation East Bay native who grew up in Livermore and has lived in Oakland for over a decade, I also bring deep local knowledge to my work. I help clients navigate Oakland and the greater East Bay with a particular interest in older homes, neighborhood history, architecture, and the details that make East Bay housing unique.
